Oklahoma has long been analogous with Bingo. That’s due to the fact that the Amerindian tribes of Oklahoma have provided Bingo games for decades. Clients from every one of the surrounding states load up in trucks and visit Oklahoma to wager on Bingo for the weekends.

The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act followed a precedent setting ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court the year prior. From that instance, 23 of the 39 Indian bands of Oklahoma have introduced gambling halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Native tribes to take advantage of the betting laws, and today run ten gambling dens of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were founded. Electronic games like slots weren’t authorized, since they are believed to lead to gambling addiction at a higher rate than bingo.

In the past few years, Oklahoma rules has altered to allow for massive American Indian gaming gambling halls. You’ll now see American Indian gambling halls with slots, video poker and vingt-et-un tables. Craps and roulette are still not authorized in the Native gambling halls yet, but this is only a matter of time. No one can authority what having other games in the bingo houses will do for the appeal of bingo.
