Oklahoma has for a long time been interrelated with Bingo. That is because the Indian bands of Oklahoma have run Bingo games for ages. Patrons from many of the surrounding states load up in passenger cars and travel to Oklahoma to gamble on Bingo over the weekends.
The 1988 (IGRA) Indian Gaming Regulatory Act was introduced after a benchmark ruling by The U.S. Supreme Court just the year before. Since that time, 23 of the 39 American Indian bands of Oklahoma have established bingo halls. The Chickasaw were the 1st Oklahoma Amerindian band to take advantage of the gambling laws, and today control 10 casinos of their own. Bingo was the game on which the above-mentioned gambling halls were built on. digital games such as slots weren’t authorized, owing to the fact that they are thought to lead to gambling problems more than bingo.
